Taunton Youth For Christ - Update February 2026
We're about seeing young people's lives changed by Jesus.
Updates
Van
Last week we unexpectedly broke down in the van, but the Lord was so gracious to us in the midst of it. We’re so thankful for His protection and provision in what could have been a far more stressful situation. Please pray for ongoing covering over the van — it enables so much of our outreach and creates a vital safe space for young people to gather, talk, and be supported. We’re asking for reliability, protection on the roads, and continued provision as we use it to serve our community.

Outreach
We’ve had some really encouraging conversations with young people this month and are so grateful for the openness we’re seeing. Seeds of faith are being planted through honest questions and meaningful moments, and we’re trusting God to help them grow in His timing.
Please continue to pray for a deeper hunger among the young people we meet — that hearts would be stirred, curiosity would increase, and more doors would open for faith-filled conversations and questions.
Volunteers
Please pray with us for more volunteers to join the team — people with hearts stirred by all that the Lord is doing among young people and families in our town. We are asking God to raise up faithful, compassionate individuals who carry His heart, are willing to serve with humility, and are ready to invest time in building relationships that point others to Jesus. Pray that the right people would hear the call, step forward boldly, and become part of what God is growing in this season
Asylum Seekers
We are beginning to see a small increase in numbers again within our asylum seeker outreach, which has been so encouraging. Even more than that, we are witnessing real breakthrough in some of the complex situations these families are facing. It is a genuine privilege to stand alongside them — to offer support, build trust, and walk with them through both challenges and hope-filled moments.
Our heart remains to create a safe and welcoming space where relationships can grow naturally and conversations about Jesus can unfold with sensitivity and love. Thank you for praying with us — please continue to ask God for deeper breakthrough in families, strengthened trust, and open hearts as we share His love together.
Phase 2 - Youth Hub
Please continue to pray for our building project — we really need to see movement. We are asking God for tangible breakthrough, fresh momentum, and clear favour over every part of the process. Please pray that obstacles would be removed, provision would be released, and doors would open quickly. We are trusting Him to shift what feels stuck and lead us forward in His timing and grace.
Exams
Please pray for the students who will be sitting mock exams over the next few weeks. For many, this is a pressured and anxious time. Pray for peace over their minds, clarity as they revise, and confidence as they step into each exam. Ask that they would not be overwhelmed by fear or comparison, but would know steadiness and resilience. We’re also praying for meaningful opportunities to support and encourage those who may be struggling during this season.
School Chaplains
Please pray for an important meeting we have this month as we explore the possibility of chaplaincy in schools across Taunton. This vision is still in its early stages, but there has already been encouraging interest. We long to see this vision come to life — to see Jesus made known in our schools and young people supported, discipled, and pointed towards Him. We are asking God to open doors that no one can shut and to breathe life into this vision for His glory across our town.
New Bible Study
Please pray for the new Bible study that began last month as a result of our outreach work. We are introducing these young people to faith from the very beginning, helping them discover who Jesus truly is. As we do, we’re increasingly aware of the huge challenge of untangling what they constantly hear on social media from the unchanging truth of the gospel.
We are battling confusion and competing voices. Please pray for wisdom and discernment for our team. Pray that truth would cut through the noise, that misconceptions would be dismantled, and that these young people would encounter the true love, freedom, and transforming power of Jesus for themselves.
Court Field School
Please continue to lift Chloe up in prayer as she serves full-time as chaplain at Court Fields. Each day brings new conversations, challenges, and opportunities to reflect Christ’s love within the school community. Pray that she would be filled with wisdom, resilience, and deep sensitivity to the Holy Spirit as she supports both students and staff.
Thank you
We are continually thankful for the incredible community that stands with us in this mission. What God is doing among young people in Taunton is not the work of one or two people — it is the fruit of a faithful, prayerful, and generous family. We truly couldn’t do this without you.
To our Trustees and Volunteers — thank you for giving your time, energy, and heart so sacrificially. Your faithfulness creates safe spaces, builds life-changing relationships, and reflects the love of Christ in powerful, practical ways.
To those who give financially — your generosity enables every conversation, every outreach, every mentoring session, and every step of growth. Your giving is sowing seeds of hope and transformation that will have eternal impact.
To our Prayer Partners — you are the unseen strength behind this ministry. Your prayers cover, protect, and prepare the way.
If God places something on your heart for us, please do share it with Kelly — we deeply value hearing how He is speaking through you.
We thank God for each of you. Your partnership is shaping lives and leaving a lasting legacy across our town.
