A Busy Season Ahead

We’re about to enter a really exciting and busy season for Taunton Youth for Christ. As October arrives, we begin the work to establish our new Youth Hub, while also entering the darker months of the year when our outreach work takes a slightly different shape.
The shorter evenings mean a shift in how and where we do outreach, but our desire remains the same — to be present in our communities, build relationships and bring hope to young people.
On the 5th October, we’ll be launching our 40 Days of Prayer, covering this important season in prayer and asking God to provide everything needed to see the Hub become a reality. It’s also the date of our AGM, and we’re excited to share more about all that is happening across Taunton Youth for Christ. We would love for you to join us.
We’re also incredibly grateful that Tarun Solanki is running The Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds towards the Youth Hub. What an amazing way to get behind the vision! You can click the link below to sponsor Tarun and support him as he takes on the challenge.
There is still a financial hill to climb before we can complete the Hub, but we’re so thankful for everyone who is standing with us, praying, giving and helping us move this vision forward.
We’re excited about what lies ahead and, above all, trusting God to provide all that is needed.
Updates
Youth Hub Update
The time has finally come! Work on our new Youth Hub officially begins on the 12th October, and we are so excited to take you along for the journey. We’ll be sharing regular updates on our website throughout the project, so you can follow along, see the progress and celebrate each stage with us.
Thank you to everyone who has prayed, given, encouraged and stood with us to help us get to this point. We genuinely couldn’t have got here without you.
Amidst all the conversations about finances, contracts, builders and building work, let’s not forget the why behind this project. At the heart of the Youth Hub are the little lost ones who need to find their Shepherd. We want to create a place where young people who feel lost, overlooked or without hope can find belonging, discover that they are loved, and ultimately encounter Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
There is still a significant financial hurdle ahead of us, so please keep praying with us for God’s provision and for everything we need to complete the Hub.

40 Days of Prayer for the Youth Hub
Our 40 Days of Prayer begins on the 5th October! We’re inviting you to join us as we pray over the new Youth Hub and all that God is doing through it.
Each day, we’ll have a simple prayer theme, covering the Hub, our team, finances, partnerships and, most importantly, the young people we’re here to serve.
Below you’ll find a downloadable prayer calendar, with a different focus for each of the 40 days. Why not print it out and join us as we seek God together? We’re excited to see what God will do as we establish the Youth Hub in prayer.
Prayer and Fasting Day
Our next gathering will be Monday 5th October. We will be meeting in our office at Oakwood Church at 10:30am to pray together.
Please come and join us as we contend for the Youth in our town.
AGM
We warmly invite you to join our Annual General Meeting, held online on the evening of Monday, 5th October. You will have received a separate invite for this with the link attached on Thursday 10th September.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate what God has done through our ministry this year and to engage with the vision for the year ahead.
