Small Groups
Our home groups are central to our All Saints Church family. In a growing church it soon becomes impossible to know everyone in any personal way. Smaller groups are crucial where people can meet and interact together on a regular basis, learning from the Bible, sharing, praying, caring, and generally encouraging one another. Our vision is to see everyone in this church meeting regularly in a small group.
Most groups meet on a weekly basis. A dozen groups meet on a variety of evenings through the week. There are also day-time groups, including some for mums, with a crèche provided.
Homegroup Notes for this term are available here
Walking Groups
All Saints Strollers
This friendly rambling group welcomes people of all ages and abilities. There is no membership, just turn up for the outing as advertised in the weekly News Sheet click here.
We meet monthly: on a Saturday morning in the winter, finishing with an optional pub lunch; and on a Saturday afternoon in the summer, often finding a tea room at the end of the ramble. We usually walk about four or five miles, at a leisurely pace (hence our name). On Easter Monday and August Bank Holiday we take a picnic lunch and go farther afield.
2-Miler
There is also a Two-Miler walk on a regular basis. For details see the weekly News Sheet click here.
12-2
On the third Wednesday of the month, except August, people of retirement age in Trull meet for a simple lunch of soup, rolls and cheese, in the Memorial Hall at 12 noon. The lunch is followed by a short talk and then tea and coffee.
There is no membership, but each person is asked to pay £1.50 to cover expenses. A Trull Church team organise the whole operation.
Coffee Morning
We hold a coffee morning on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month (except August) from 10.30 am – 12.00 noon in the Lower Parish Room, Church Road, Trull. It is for anyone who enjoys friendly company over a cup of tea or coffee.
Bereavement Support Group
Held on the second Saturday of every month in the Parish Rooms from 10.30 am. An informal chance to be with people who understand the difficulties experienced whilst dealing with bereavement. Say as little or as much as you want.
Bellringing
A ringing practice is held every Wednesday at 7.30 pm - 9.00 pm. For anyone contemplating learning to ring church bells the practice night would be the best opportunity to meet the members of the band, find out what it’s all about and maybe “have a go”. |
